I swore to myself I would not post this image until their parents received the newborn gallery, but I cannot... http://t.co/ltsu9DEC

I have been photographing this wee one since she was in her mama’s belly and I have loved every minute of it! We had the best time playing last weekend. She rocked my world on both cake eating AND tutu wearing ;)

I had the pleasure of photographing this wee one just a few days after she was born.

These photographs were taken back in August when she was 6 months old and I realized that I had not blogged them! Shame on me!!!! And why am I so shameful? Because in a couple of weeks I will be taking her ONE year old photos…and here I still haven’t blogged the ones from her 6 month old session. Ooops! Sorry baby girl ;) I promise to do better next time…

Yet another little wee man I photographed one year ago…when he was teeny…and tiny… Now he is all grown up and eating cake (and apparently candles too!).

this cute little bub gave me a great big hug the minute I walked in the door! I think he knew we were going to eat cake and splash in the bathtub… because THAT is the kind of fun Anya likes to have at one year old baby sessions. ;)

Who was photographed at the perfect time for mid-year baby photos. 6 months! When babies can sit up on their own (or minimally supported) but can’t crawl or walk away yet. I am just in love with his smoochy little happy doll face!!! And those eyes…..I just had to have at least one in color. To show off the gorgeous color of his beautiful eyes. YUMMY! ;)

I just love the connection in this photo!

*whew*…it has been a complete whirlwind of a last few months with lots of newborns and LOTS of changes in store. I will update more on that a bit later :)

I was lucky enough to spend my Saturday with this little cutie who came all the way from Minnesota to visit her cousin Jaxon and have her one year old photos taken by me! What a complete honor ;) Maddi definitely put me to work, and I believe that I actually did leave with some red ladybug frosting on my rear. I will secretly admit that it smells WAY better than baby poo….which is what I typically have on my pants when I come home.

And a side note on a parenting experience I had this morning. I remember a time in my children’s lives when passing a McDonalds made me cringe because my wee ones, before they were even speaking, could recognize the brilliant branding of those golden arches. Well fear no longer. Now it is Starbucks that my little Rowan recognizes. Yes, Starbucks. Not only does he recognize it, he knows its exact location. And can point the way. As he did this morning when I was apparently not turning in the right direction. And he pointed the other way (towards the Starbucks drive through) yelling “Bucks, Bucks, Bucks, mommy”.
