I had so much fun photographing this absolutely stunning mommy and her little girl Maggie! Maggie has such an awesomely expressive personality that I ended up burning a lot of calories attempting to document it. Which was a good thing. Because they fed me a Gigi’s cupcake. And ummmm, I don’t think those are low-cal, are they? My jeans the next day said nope! Apparently so did her mama’s Smooch!

I am without words this evening, as life has a way of sometimes leaving me speechless.  I must say, however, that I am madly in love with little Ben’s mohawk.  I really hope he still has it at his 6 month session

I had the most FABULOUS time photographing 4 month old baby Arthur and his delightful family!  It isn’t often that I get an outdoor evening session and I was reminded about how fabulous the light is, and also how much FUN it is!

Arthur shows his brother and sister who is REALLY the boss in this family …..  ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have never done mini sessions before and was a little hesitant when my wonderful PR/marketing lady Ms. Jennifer Braun suggested it. Needless to say, I had the BEST time with 10 wonderful families! To top it off, since this was also a charity promotion, this means that 10 sessions (by yours truly) have now been donated to the Male Involvement Project of the Dane County Parent Council. I can’t WAIT to meet these wonderful families as well

We had the pleasure of having dinner with some wonderful Wisconsin doc’s this past week… Their home was a kid paradise…with none other than a pony and a beautiful horse! Annika was insistent that she be able to hop on the pony. Mommy was insistent (of course) that she get some pictures. Mommy was also thrilled to discover that young child on pony = no running away from photos. YAY!

This pose was all Annika’s idea …

This past summer (if September is still considered summer?) my children and I were able to do something I have been wanting to do FOREVER. Go to Mt. Rushmore! Since my husband is from South Dakota, I always relied on his opinion that it “wasn’t that much to see”. Well I am here to state that he was dead WRONG. We had the best time! It was so worth the extra driving we had to do to get to it. Even the little ones were fascinated. . .
