Meeting with attorney number 2 today regarding husband's death. So much for the grieving process... no time for that with the law I guess

I have never done mini sessions before and was a little hesitant when my wonderful PR/marketing lady Ms. Jennifer Braun suggested it. Needless to say, I had the BEST time with 10 wonderful families! To top it off, since this was also a charity promotion, this means that 10 sessions (by yours truly) have now been donated to the Male Involvement Project of the Dane County Parent Council. I can’t WAIT to meet these wonderful families as well ;)

Since I took a zillion images and I have only so much room, here is a mini sample. If you click on the little hearts to the left, that will direct you to my Facebook Business Page where you can see more!

We had the pleasure of having dinner with some wonderful Wisconsin doc’s this past week… Their home was a kid paradise…with none other than a pony and a beautiful horse! Annika was insistent that she be able to hop on the pony. Mommy was insistent (of course) that she get some pictures. Mommy was also thrilled to discover that young child on pony = no running away from photos. YAY!

This pose was all Annika’s idea …

On my last photo session visit to Madison, my family and I were able to spend some time with our best buddies….the Anderson family. We all got jacked up on caffeine, had some great food, great conversation, and watched our kids play with each other. That ended up being Zebby irritating his sister and making her cry (thus needing her mommy), Annika adopting another family in the store and playing a rousing game of Memory with them, and Rowan doing what Rowan’s do best….Eat! I will have to admit that I totally MISS Ancora coffee in Fitchburg. They have this yogurt and granola breakfast that is to DIE for! I will also have to admit that their coffee is pretty darn great as well :)

coffee with the anderson's....

On a side note…to get rid of the 7 million spam comments I had in my account, I inadvertently had to delete all comments. Okay, I will admit it, it wasn’t me…it was my computer geek. ;) It was a ton of comments and I am so sad to see them gone from my blog, but so thankful to all that took the time to comment. From now on, however, comments work.

Yet another little wee man I photographed one year ago…when he was teeny…and tiny… Now he is all grown up and eating cake (and apparently candles too!).

Needless to say it is a very long, drawn out, probably exceedingly boring story about the journey life takes us when we least expect it. However, the million dollar question seems to be…… “Are you still taking clients”? And the answer is YES! I am still taking clients. And I am going to show off some of the gorgeous clients I have taken on…. starting with one of my fave little men, Nadav. I had the pleasure of photographing him at 6 months of age and was blessed once again when he turned one…..

and he is so expressive I could just eat him up with marmalade and toast!!! (well and maybe a little peanut butter)… ;)

Wittle tiny man from Friday. He is an early bird as he wasn’t due to hatch for 4 more weeks!

I am bone tired from a weekend of trying to heal our wounded doggie. She had surgery two weeks ago, developed a very bad complication, was on the verge of us having to put her down on Friday evening :( , but now seems to be a bit on the mend. Fingers crossed!!! I will try to post photos of her and the kids very soon. First the cute baby….I get to spend tomorrow with another wittle early bird too…YAY!

A few more of baby ella and her awesome family. I have been dying to do an image of a daddy with a tattoo and his baby. This daddy has a rockin’ tattoo and loves his little baby girl to pieces :) I have to give a HUGE shout out to my AWESOME dad’s who have bravely bared their chests for me to photograph them with their wee loves. There is honestly nothing that melts any mama’s heart more than seeing her man loving their baby. :)

And just for fun, I will let everyone in on my super top secret photo editing music collection…..

Today’s (LOUD) selections were:

Girlfriend in a Coma — Smiths
Shoplifters of the World — Smiths (I know, both these songs are kinda weird to edit baby images to, eh? LOL!)
Tupelo Honey — Van Morrison
Talkin’ about a Revolution — Tracy Chapman
Shimmer — Fuel
Strangelove — Depeche Mode
Shake the Disease — Depeche Mode (saw them live at the Forum in LA circa 1985 or ‘86, I can’t remember!)
Where the Streets Have no Name — U2
Bad — U2 (Saw live in 1988….my bff Heather and I got Bono butt view….don’t know why they played in the round)
Gin and Juice — Snoop Dog (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Don’t tell anyone…..it’s a mood piece……lol!)
Love My Way — Psychadelic Furs
Solsbury Hill — Peter Gabriel
You Should be Dancing — Bee Gee’s
Falls on Me — Fuel
Glycerine — Bush (Who I actually got to see live at Woodstock ‘99)
Superman — REM
Living for the City — Stevie Wonder
Mountains O’ Things — Tracy Chapman
Superstition — Stevie Wonder

…and it’s official….my kids think I am either totally nuts or high…..
