MATERNITY

A beautiful way to document your growing family, changing body, and exciting journey into motherhood. Whether it’s your first or your fifth baby, maternity photographs allow you to relive the intimacy, wonder, excitement, and anticipation of waiting for your new arrival.

Don’t have a special outfit or don’t want to spend the money on multiple outfits? No worries! All mamas are invited to complimentary use of my studio wardrobe – I’ve got you covered with what is becoming an extensive selection of beautiful dresses to fit all beautiful body shapes. I recommend scheduling your maternity session so it falls sometime between your 30-35th week of pregnancy.

Maternity packages include a select amount of fully hand edited high resolution digital image files as well as your choice of location – in studio, in your home, or an outdoor location that we’ll decide on together. Option to add on hair & makeup artist is available as well.

Newborn sessions are for documenting your sweet baby during the first few weeks of life – those teeny tiny fingers and toes, perfect little lips, the little tufts of hair all over their sweet skin, how their bodies curl into a tiny little womb-like ball when you lay them down just so…the moments that are so fleeting they go by in a blink of an eye.

Trust me, my first baby is 28 — don’t blink, and also make sure to capture these beautiful memories!

As every family’s desire to capture their newborn is different, I offer a few types of session options to choose from.

FRESH 48

Not quite ready for birth photography, but want some of those beautiful first hospital (or home birth) moments captured? Want guaranteed professional documentation of siblings meeting the new baby for the first time? Then a Fresh 48 session is for you! This documentary style session takes place within the first 48 hours of your baby’s arrival, capturing some of those precious first moments that soon become a foggy haze mixed with sleepless nights and caffeine filled days.

The Fresh 48 session includes a 1.5 hr documentary lifestyle session with my guaranteed on call time around your due date, and all fully hand edited high resolution digital image files with print release. Option to upgrade to video documentation with full audio editing set to legally licensed music is available.

mini experience

Bring your baby to the studio in a white onesie, or use one of mine. I have a collection of brand new white onesies in various styles available in my client wardrobe for you to choose from – and you get to take it home with your baby as a keepsake from your session. How awesome is that?

These sessions are for the budget conscious family that just wants a few beautiful images without all the fluff. The mini experience is only offered in studio and includes images of baby and parents (with the option to add on siblings) as well as 15 fully hand edited high resolution digital image files with print release. Mamas also have the option to use my ever growing client wardrobe as well as add on a hair & makeup artist. A simple option to upgrade to all the images is also available.

Allow me to come to your home to create timeless portraits of your sweet baby without ever having to leave your couch! Ok, you might have to leave your couch, but you won’t have to leave the comfort of your home. I bring everything to you except the baby! We will create beautiful baby-focused beanbag/blanket images as well as loosely posed lifestyle images using just a window in your home. We can also showcase your beautiful bedroom, nursery, and living space as well. Baby, parents, siblings, and furry friends included!

Concerned about the light in your home? No worries! I have photographed sessions in all shapes, decor styles, and sizes of homes. Your session will be uniquely photographed based on your home and your family — I have photographed newborns in tiny city apartments to 8,000 square foot homes with beautiful results.

The full experience includes your in-home session as well as 25 fully hand edited high resolution digital image files with print release. A simple option to upgrade to all the images is also available as well as an option to add on some of the more posed baby shots and longer shooting time.

The mini experience is only offered in studio and includes images of baby (and a few quick captures with mom and dad at the end) as well as 10 high-resolution fully edited digital image files with print release. fAQs

When should I book my Fresh 48 session?
To guarantee my availability, Fresh 48 sessions are best books as soon as you know you want one! When you book your Fresh 48 session with me, I block off weeks 38 through 41 of your pregnancy on my calendar to ensure I am in town and readily available for your sweet baby once he/she arrives.

When should I schedule my newborn session?
To provide the best quality experience for my clients, I take a limited number of sessions per month. Due to the unpredictability of birth, sessions are penciled in based on due date, we will confirm the actual date once your sweet baby arrives. My schedule tends to book out at least 4-6 weeks in advance of due dates, however if you have already had your baby, please do not hesitate to contact me, I will do my absolute best to fit you in.

How old should my baby be?
While there is no “perfect” day for newborn photographs, and every baby is different, I have found that the hands down best time to photograph your newborn is typically day 8 to 10 post birth. By the time your baby has reached about 2 weeks and older, newborn acne and colic can begin to set in for some babies, which can make achieving relaxed and peaceful portraits difficult. On that note, however, I have photographed newborns up to 4-6 weeks post birth with beautiful results. I truly believe that every baby is unique and one set formula is not best for all.

How long does a typical session last?
Newborn mini sessions are booked for an hour and 15 minutes (with time adjusted into the session for feeding and cuddling your wee one.) I book in home sessions for between 3-4 hours depending on which session you book and I have both weekday & weekend options available.

Do you charge an additional session fee for multiples (twins/triplets, etc…)?
No. I celebrate the opportunity to photograph multiples!
